Tokyo Gen is a story of struggling diversity in a still largely very conservative Japan. The films protagonists have found the freedom they desire to express themselves, in the underground Tokyo street culture. This is a very beautifully shot, and colourful film set to some really cool music. But it’s more than just surface good looks, there’s a worthwhile message running throughout.
Director Scott Carthy’s latest short film about street football in Ireland is also a real treat, and we’ll have it for you to watch here very soon, so stay tuned…
