Sadly this is the last of our features on Poweredby.Tokyo’s series of films about Tokyo’s ‘shokunin’, though happily it’s every bit as colourful and creative. In a sleepy hillside town 80 minutes from the centre of the bustling Tokyo metropolis, Noriyuki Murata has dedicated his life to perfecting the art of indigo dyeing. His craft is a disappearing one in modern Japan, as demand is beginning exceed supply.
