Spurgeons Ballet Programme in Kenya

17th February 2018 by Will Stewart

Cinematic documentary film maker Maceo Frost continues his series on dance culture in impoverished communities. This time, in the second film we’ve featured of the same director, the focus is on Kibera slum in Kenya’s Nariobi. Having personally spent time work in this part of the world, I can relate to the energy, talent and sense of community portrayed in this film. The wonderful Spurgeons Ballet Programme proves that dance is not just for the elite, but dancers of all colour, personality, and ability.
