Portrait of a Place – Away With the Land

A breathtakingly beautiful film following Donald John Maciness, a ‘crofter’ in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Crofting is a small-scale agricultural practice, specific to the Scottish Highland and islands, which has existed in the Gaelic culture since the 19th century. “You always think the grass is greener on the other side, but I think the grass where I am is as green as it can get”. Lovely.
