I Heart NYC

5th December 2018 by Will Stewart

A tale of one of the most iconic symbols in the world, I Heart New York. The symbol’s creator, Malcom Glaser, gives a vivid account of how he came to create the artwork, and how to him it represents the multilayered and multicultural complexities of the city. Now a very wealthy and (becoming more and more) elite place to live, the symbol was conceived in a more uncertain era.

Directed by the Bulgarian born Andre Andreev, who immigrated to the States in his teens, and graduated from the California College of the Arts with a degree in graphic design. The production company, Dress Code have had a smattering of Vimeo staff picks for short docs. Be sure to catch more from them on MadeGood.TV soon.
