Adjust Saddle Position On A Bike
Two Types Of Fitting
The seat may be fitted to a cylindrical seat-pin via a clamp locked with hexagonal nuts on either side, or by a bolt – or bolts – and clamp that is integrated into the seat pin.
Unlock the clamp then slide the saddle position forward or back.
Tilt saddle position
The saddle position can be adjusted to ‘nose-up’ or ‘nose-down’. If you’re not sure of your best position start with the top horizontal. Some micro-adjust seat-pins have a big bolt to lock and a small bolt to make fine adjustment. Release the big bolt first, then make adjustments with the small bolt then re-clamp the saddle with the big bolt.
Once you have a desirable saddle position, lock it finger-tight double-check it’s where it’s meant to be then lock fully.
